Can you girls imagine not putting make up on everyday and living with the same plain face forever? Personally, I can’t. Cosmetics may seem to be just a tool to make your appearance better, but to me, it’s one of the greatest inventions in the world.

First of all, we all know what the purpose of makeup is. It can help hide our weaknesses on our faces or make beautiful parts more noticeable. Given this, most girls admit that cosmetics can make women more confident with themselves. It is a part of grooming yourself and embracing the baby in you. If you groom yourself well, you will feel young and you feel very confident about your appearance, thus it increases your self-esteem.

Also, women can express their characteristics by putting make up on. Nowadays, fashion and cosmetics are the most common way to express our personalities and values. For example, if you are a strong and independent woman, you are likely to put smoky make up on, which can show your strong point. On the other hand, if you are romantic and girlish, you are likely to put pink lovely make up on.

Finally, it’s the easiest and quickest way to change your face without undergoing cosmetic surgery. Every morning, we can turn our faces from normal to beautiful, into having a better appearance. Moreover, if we have an important day like a party, a blind date, or a wedding, we can even disguise ourselves like a celebrity. After inventing BB cream in Korea for the first time, girls could save their time to put make up on, and cover their spots and pimples perfectly. What a nice invention!

If women didn’t have cosmetics, they wouldn't enjoy their lives as a woman. I believe that cosmetics are becoming more improved to satisfy girls’ desires to look beautiful.
